Friday, Sept 6: Tobias Wolff, author of ‘This Boy’s Life’ (which was later adapted into a successful major motion picture) and ‘Old School’ (which was chosen as this year’s ‘common read’ at Sierra Nevada College), was featured speaker kicking of this year’s Writers in the Woods Speaker Series. He charmed those in attendance with stories of his influences as a writer, and well as the useful advice he offered to any future writers. Come and enjoy future presentations in the Writers in the Woods Speakers Series (this year’s lineup is below). They are sure to be of interest to students, educators, as well as the surrounding SNC community!
